Leisure-net Solutions’ releases second Price and Promotions Comparison (PPC) report.
The full report is available to download here .
The key findings were:
- DLL commanding £90 a month at the top end
- Joining fees largely a sales tool
- LA Fitness & Virgin Active very competitively priced in mid-range
- Fitspace close to £20 in London
- Greens offer 3 months free
- Maybe Trusts aren’t more expensive
- Complimentary PT at Fitness First
Mike Hill, Managing Director of Leisure-net Solutions, the leading customer insight provider to the active leisure sector said: "The economic climate may still be far from certain, but David Lloyd Leisure is maintaining a headline rate of £90 a month or more at some of its leading sites – with the standard discounted joining fee as the primary incentive to join. Who knows what the yield is, but I suspect that DLL is able to maintain its pricing integrity somewhat more easily than most,
largely because there is always a market prepared to pay top dollar for a good product. Esporta has a different offering, but it is generally priced £10 – £15 below David Lloyd."
